Three New eBooks on Kindle

In a shameless and selfish attempt to help pay the bills, I’ve posted three new ebook tiles on Amazon Kindle. These titles are available globally. They are quick and easy-to-read short scripts written in scriptwriting format, not prose. If you like, think of these an in-home movie experience, so make your own popcorn and enjoy the read!

GARDEN SHED by John Hunter on Amazon Kindle

A young boy and his sister discover a portal to the afterlife in their grandmother’s garden.”

While visiting their grandmother, a 9 year old boy and his 11 year old sister discover what appears to be a shed in her garden. When the children mention what they have found to their grandmother, she tells them a garden shed had always been their late grandfather’s fondest dream. She hastens to add how unfortunate it was that one was never built. For now, it seems only the children and a dog named Jack are able to see the shed in the garden. But in time, their grandmother will be able to see it too. © 2021

DEBT COLLECTOR by John Hunter on Amazon Kindle

“A mob bookie gives a degenerate gambler a gentle  reminder to pay his debts in a timely fashion.”

A New York City mafioso named Bobby, a self-proclaimed member of the Genovese crime family, told me many wonderful stories. His stories may or may not have been true, but as we all know, you take your entertainment where you can find it, right? When I asked him what was the hardest part of his job, he told me getting deadbeat gamblers to pay their debts. Ever helpful, I mentioned something my Cracker grandmother had told me as a child, “Pigs will eat anything except grapefruit rinds and silverware.” My grandmother’s wisdom is the inspiration for this short script written in scriptwriting format, not in prose. If you like, think of this as an in-home movie experience where you make your own popcorn. © 20

LAST TWO WRITERS by John Hunter on Amazon Kindle

“Two unknown and aspiring writers become famous overnight.”

In the not too distant future (maybe as early as next week?), a mysterious virus from outer space causes a mass extinction of all the writers in the world except two. This event shakes the very foundations of both Holly and Bolly Wood. Wannabe writers sitting in Starbucks around the world can no longer be heard mumbling to themselves, “What do I have to do to get a break?” In this darkish SHORT SCRIPT written in scriptwriting format, not prose, an unlikely scenario is offered in which two aspiring nobodies achieve overnight success completely unrelated to their dubious and questionable talents. As always, don’t take anything I write too seriously, make yourself some popcorn and enjoy the read. © 2019 with all rights reserved.
